of the week. (I thought that this scientist is apropos for this week.)

I
was born on October
28, 1914.

I
was an American physician, medical researcher and virologist who developed one
of the first successful polio vaccines.
- 3. I attended the City College of New York and New York University School of Medicine.
- 4. In 1941, I was granted a fellowship at the University of Michigan where I studied flu viruses with my mentor Thomas Francis Jr.
